You hear the term "rustic-chic" but I've never seen it make so much sense. This bride had a remarkable vision for her wedding, and did not miss a single detail. This is one of the most beautiful weddings I have had the pleasure of attending, and was very excited to be a part of it.
The setting for this wedding took guests on a drive through the country (on a school bus--if you took up the couple on the provided transportation), that really set up guests to enjoy the beauty of Swans Trail Farms in Snohomish, Washington. The weather cooperated, giving them the bluest sky for the ceremony, and that golden-hour of sun setting through the cornfields. Well-timed and dialed in. (I doubt that was an accident.)
Instead of paper programs, guests were greeted with custom chalkboard signs, hand lettered by Real Card Studio's favorite calligrapher, Karen Yee Chan. The lettering style was fun and beautiful, and fit the scenery, framed in antique gilt frames.
For their wedding invitations, we letterpress printed with a split-fountain to naturally blend the ink color at the top of the card into the second color at the bottom, giving a beautiful ombré effect as the ink transformed from a lush blue-green to a golden taupe. For added interest, we printed the reply and details cards on the same sheet with the invitation, so all three pieces blend together, making each set uniquely beautiful.
Real Card Studio created a custom monogram for the couple using their initials and leafy swag illustrations. It was at the top of the invitation, and then repeated on the day-of pieces like the menu, table signs and even hand painted onto custom corn-hole boards for playing games on the lawn.
I wish I was working on this invitation again right now, it was that much fun.
